This is tough, because even the “bad” episodes this season were pretty good, or at least tried to be. I pick “Rivals” (dueling con artists you don’t care about) and “Profit and Loss” (misbegotten Casablanca tribute that misuses good characters) as the worst. Since I have to throw on two more, I’ll add “Melora” (introducing a testy new ensign with physical disabilities and a romance for Bashir) and “Blood Oath” (featuring veteran Klingons and character development for Jadzia Dax).

I agree that it’s hard to find bad episodes this season!

I also agree (mostly) with your picks…

I found the romance in “Melora” to be kind of annoying, and the zero-grav aspects kind of silly.

I actually disliked “Sanctuary” because I found it super-hard to empathize with the refugees, who have better choices than trying to horn in on someone else’s planet which has plenty of problems already.

I guess I could pick “Shadowplay” because it’s not that exciting.

I agree on “Blood Oath”… I’m just not really buying the whole concept.

I would actually give “Tribunal” an honorable mention because I just can’t help comparing it to the “4 Lights” episode of TNG and finding it wanting.

Still, even the bad episodes of this season are decent and memorable.
