   I met Olivia when she came to visit the Olivia D’Abo fan club at Caltech (they had T-shirts and everything). She was very sweet!

   I couple of guys in the class ahead of me watched Conan the Destroyer every day for a month. Then they sought out all other of Olivia’s appearances. This was the VHS era, so I’m not sure how they managed to see her on Simon & Simon. Then they started writing her fan letters. I think there was a stage where they went to visit her publicist (Caltech being near Hollywood), who asked very reasonably how many other actresses they were doing this with. (Zero.) Then we had a barbecue, they invited her, and she came! Ray Sidney may remember more.

   At some point her mother (IIRC) was giving away kittens and thought to invite Techers to have some. My roommate Jon Hamkins  got an excellent cat that way. RIP Escher.

   Before “True Q” aired on 10/26/92? It wasn’t a TNG thing?
