More reference material and perspective about TNG, with a heavy dollop of “it gets better.” I am, of course, reserving judgment.

TNG In 40 hours.

Seems pretty reasonable, actually.

nice to have some details on the it gets better front! thanks! i am a bit more hopeful thinking someone who really likes tng thinks the first season stinks…

It’s difficult to trust a list of “must see” STNG episodes that doesn’t include Fistful of Data or mention Dwight Schultz.  Otherwise, great list.

You may be right! IMDB users, however, only rate “A Fistful of Datas” as an average 6th season episode: http://graphtv.kevinformatics.com/tt0092455

In TOS, I definitely had favorites that don’t pop out of the pack in terms of their individual IMDB ratings.

This could also mean that 6th season of TNG is really good! In first season of TOS, “The Enemy Within,” “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” “Tomorrow is Yesterday,” and “This Side of Paraside” qualify as average episodes to IMDB.

I definitely don’t trust the IMDb ratings. ☺ I can’t pretend to be an expert, because any TNG I watched was 20 years ago, and I’ve probably seen any given episode at most once or twice, and I missed episodes. That said, if I remember an episode after one viewing 20 years later…
