Looking at this list, there weren’t all that many episodes that I really disliked. There are a bunch of lesser episodes towards the end of the series, however, which left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Without refreshing my memory as to how I originally rated them, I would pick:

    1. “How Sharper Than a Serpent’s Tooth” (worst)

    2. “Albatross”

    3. “The Jihad”

    Near miss: “The Infinite Vulcan”

yeah. I think infinite Vulcan was the worst to me. followed by serpents tooth. I would give third place to the rerun of the fantasy planet, which I did not even like the original of. was that once upon a planet?

I agree with Kevin’s sentiment, in that when I reviewed the list there were only 2 that jumped out at me as definitely on my “worst of” list. It took some thinking to come up with a third to round things out. With my least favorite listed first:

    1) “How Sharper Than a Serpent’s Tooth” – To sum up Torie’s criticism from The Viewscreen, this just had too many elements that had previously been done (and better). God-like creature demanding worship. Ancient astronauts. And top it off with a shoe-horned in Shakespeare quote to try to make it all seem to mean more than it actually does.

    2) “One of Our Planets is Missing” – This mostly goes here because when I was looking over the list of episodes, I could remember at least something about every single one — except this one. I had to look it up on Memory Alpha and then I realized why I couldn’t remember it: Because it had yet another Killer Cloud Creature (yawn), and everything is magically solved at the end with judicious use of a Vulcan Mind Meld (double yawn). Kind of surprised me that Torie and Eugene at The Viewscreen listed this as one of TAS’s best episodes.

    3) “Albatross” – This one just didn’t really do anything for me.

I was tempted to list Mudd’s Passion just because it bothered me SOOO much that Chapel would give in to Mudd and try to use the potion on Spock. But there were enough fun parts in that episode that I can’t rightly list it in my bottom 3.
