That would have been a very different, less physical, Spock.
According to http://www.starbase-10.de/deforest_kelley_mccoy/ Kelley was actually very strong.
And named for Lee De Forest, inventor of the first (?) vacuum tube.
I don’t doubt that, but Nimoy is considerably taller and younger. Even if Kelley could win an arm wrestling match IRL, I think Nimoy’s Spock would act more physically than Kelley’s. That’s a WAG on my part, of course.
