Schedule Revision + episode hosting opportunity!

Schedule Revision + episode hosting opportunity!

Our summer vacation plans have clarified, and we are going on back to back family vacations starting next Monday.  We’ll be gone 3 weeks, with only intermittent Internet access. I will not be able to post the episode threads.

I don’t want to put the community on hold for 3 weeks, but I also (selfishly!) don’t want to get too far behind.  So, I’m moving us to one episode a week, effective immediately. Sorry about that!

I am combining this Thursday and Monday’s episodes, “The Menagerie Part I” and “The Menagerie Part II,” onto one day (which probably makes sense anyway). I will post the episode thread for this right before I leave, on Monday, July 22.

I need a volunteer to post the episode thread for episode 1.13 — “The Conscience of the King,” on or about Monday, July 29.  Actually, you can pick any convenient day of the week, just say which works best.

I also need a volunteer to post the episode thread for 1.14 — “Balance of Terror,” on or about Monday, August 5.  This is supposed to be a good one, introducing the Romulans (I don’t really remember it, though).

R. Alex Reutter and Sarah MacMillan said that they would take at least one of these – thanks! Just say which one you want and what day you want to post the thread.  If anyone else wants to be a mensch and take the other, please step forward. If no one has claimed an episode by Friday morning, the community will go on vacation that week instead.  We will return to a regular schedule on Monday, August 12 with episode 1.15 — “Shore Leave.”  Thanks everybody….

I think Alex & Sarah will post _both_ episodes, unless someone has a burning desire!

Aside: I wish I knew why italics on G+ works sometimes but not others.  There’s both working and non-working italicizations of _Star Trek_ in my “TCM” post, and I just gave up trying to trick the machine into parsing the text properly.

I didn’t know whether that italicization would work until I hit “post.” It didn’t–at least not on my screen.
