I was born in 1969. I started watching Star Trek “reruns” when I was seven or eight. I’ve seen them all many, many times. That optimistic future where race, nationality, and even species were less important than a common goal, was very appealing to me as a kid. They had some talented writers and actors. And yeah, the sexism can be annoying, and the morality play structure can be simplistic, but overall I think the show holds up pretty well.
