Meanwhile, an accident triggers visions for Data in which he meets his creator, Dr. Soong, and learns more about his true nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thoughts:<\/strong> I don&#8217;t have much to say about this one, which suffers somewhat from weird pacing as we have seen in other two-part episodes. It\u2019s nice, of course, to visit the sets of Deep Space Nine on TNG. It&#8217;s too bad that more of the DS9 regulars do not appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worf\u2019s predicament underscores that one should be careful visiting DS9&#8211;you don\u2019t know what you will find. Worf threatening to kill the informer, Shrek, if he is lying is unusual for TNG, although Worf does kill Duras in \u201cReunion\u201d (TNG 4.7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Watching Data\u2019s dream sequence I thought \u201cData! You are the three-eyed crow!\u201d (That\u2019s a <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> reference.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would have been nice to fit Alexander into this story, especially as Worf recklessly risks his own death (again). Being there for Alexander just doesn&#8217;t seem to be a priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brent Spiner acting out of his Data makeup as Dr. Soong crosses a little too far into Renaissance Faire for me, but your mileage may vary.
