In his absence, the computer that operates the planet&#8217;s machinery has developed some strange ideas about how to run things\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thoughts:<\/strong> \u201cShore Leave&#8221; was one of my least favorite episodes of TOS. I like this episode a bit better. It has some good laugh lines, and a fairly prominent role for Lt. Uhura. She sings! I\u2019ll have to dig up my TOS season one posts to remember how many bonus points to assign for any episode that contains Uhura singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In context, the computer\u2019s line \u201cIt\u2019s time for a change\u201d is fairly chilling. Credit for that. Did you catch the crewmembers on the bridge wearing seatbelts? What a concept!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fortunately, in this episode we get to see more of Lt. M\u2019Ress. Unfortunately, her voice is quite annoying.
