The treaty leaves out the Romulan Empire and Bajor. Meanwhile, on the planet of the Changelings, Odo explores his connection to his lost kin, while Kira snoops around to find out their secrets.

What I Like: Most of all, the growing connection between Kira and Odo. But for God’s sake, don’t hold hands while you use the transporter! it’s frakking dangerous.

Otherwise, I saw through the premise and twists of this episode from the start. Part II doesn’t have the pep or interest that Part I had. I found Sisko’s sense of disquiet in the station, where everything seems to be wrong, to be effectively creepy, if reminiscent of last season’s “Whispers.”.

What Isn’t Good: The set up from Part I led me to believe Part II would be considerably more exciting.

What Makes It Star Trek?: It doesn’t feel very much like Star Trek. It feels like an adventure show where Odo gets betrayed by the person he thinks is his friend. There doesn’t seem to be any larger lesson, moral, or examination of the human condition. I imagine the revelation about the identity of the Founders will be very important for the rest of the series.

Rating: 3 of 5 Arbazon Vultures.

http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/The_Search,_Part_II

[9
18
post-5305","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-star-trek-relive-the-majesty-ds9-episode-threads","tag-kevin-black
["GET
