While growing up, I would see occasional episodes of TOS in syndication. My parents weren’t fans of sci-fi in any way. My grandfather was, although he was more of a Star Wars fan.

After getting a TiVo, TOS is one of the first things I set up a season pass for. I don’t think I’ve watched every episode, but I’d be surprised if I hadn’t seen over half of them. Since I came to them later in life, I can’t say they had a big role in making me who I am or anything like that. They’re more of an enjoyable cheesy pastime. And, from what I’ve seen, I’m definitely more of a fan of TOS than TNG.
